Company Overview:

Mamani, the newest restaurant from the Dallas-based hospitality group FLHO, features French cuisine with an Italian accent from Executive Chef Christophe De Lellis. The cooking is approachable, celebrating simplicity, clarity of flavor and the excellence of the ingredients. Co-owners (and FLHO principals) Brandon and Henry Cohanim drew inspiration for the project from their French-born grandmother, whom they fondly call “Mamani.” Paris-born chef De Lellis brings inspiration from his food-loving grandparents as well; all four are Italian. Mamani is the flagship restaurant for the new Quad development in Uptown.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for cooking, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards. While experience in fine dining is not required, a background in kitchen operations and a positive attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Head Chef.
  • Ensure the highest quality and presentation of food served.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients prior service.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food handling procedures.
  • Participate in kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
